• Important because it was the first time in 100’s of years that the royal families and important religious people had started to care about the peoples’ rights.
• They started to relize that education was important
• Filled there cities with beautiful art

What is your figure known for?
What is your figures legacy?

Raphael was famous for “being a genius of high Renaissance”. He put realistic emotions on to paintings.

Most popular Works are the paintings of The Madonna and Child people liked them because of how he portrayed the love between Jesus and his mother Mary. He painted them as if they were really sitting/ standing there next to you. “You can almost feel the weight of Raphael’s beautiful, plump babies” (Venezia 6).

Raphael was born on April 6, 1483 in in Urbino, Italy.
Raphael was born with his talent of painting and he still receved an early training in art from his father.
He leaned new techniques from Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
